FVB reorganizes its Executive Board and Advisory Board

During the committee meetings of the FVB Forschungsvereinigung Baumaschinen und Baustoffanlagen e. V. (Research Association for Construction Equipment and Plant Engineering), the members elected a new Executive Board and Advisory Board on September 30, 2026.

The elections signify continuity in the association’s research work while also providing new impetus for its future direction.

Thanks for Many Years of Dedication

Special thanks go to Prof. Dr. Sebastian Bauer. He led the FVB for more than 15 years as Chairman of the Executive Board and shaped the association’s development with technical expertise, strategic vision, and great personal dedication. His commitment to collaborative industrial research and to cooperation between academia and industry has strengthened the FVB in the long term and helped launch numerous research projects.

The FVB also thanks Jörg Hermanns for his many years of service as Deputy Chairman of the Board. With his experience and dedication, he supported the successful development of the research association.

Special thanks are also due to Werner Seifried. As Chairman of the Advisory Board, he promoted collaboration between companies and research institutions for many years and provided important impetus for the FVB’s research work.

New leadership for the Executive Board and Advisory Board

The members elected Dr Andreas Ziegler as the new Chairman of the Executive Board. Together with his deputy, Dr Thomas Breitenbach, he will continue the work of the Executive Board and shape the future development of the FVB.

The members elected Dr Ulrich Ernst Fass as the new Chair of the Advisory Board. Together with his deputy, Werner Seifried, he will continue the work of the board and provide new impetus for research and innovation.

The FVB would like to thank all outgoing members for their dedication and commitment. Together, the Executive Board and the Advisory Board are driving research forward and strengthening the industry’s innovative capacity.
