Completed projects: Pattern classification
The study focused on the development of an automated pattern classification system for the interpretable evaluation of machine data. It provides comprehensive insights into the recording of typical earthmoving work performed by hydraulic excavators.
The aim was to create a consistent method for evaluating the activities of mobile machines. The system was designed to record the complete utilisation of a mobile machine and, based on this, analyse the work activities performed and the operating behaviour. By linking machine data with known work activities, work processes can be automatically analysed and evaluated. Using technical parameters such as mass handled per time or fuel consumption per mass handled, deployment planning on construction sites or the operating behaviour of machine operators can be optimised.
