Industry and academia discuss new projects

The meeting focused on collaboration between industry and academia. Participants discussed research proposals, project ideas and studies for the construction equipment and building material machinery industry. Universities and research institutions presented their approaches and discussed them with industry representatives. The projects address current technical issues and aim to develop new solutions for construction and building material machinery. Dresden University of Technology, the Technical University of Munich and RWTH Aachen University presented projects from various fields of research.

One focus was on hydrogen storage systems for mobile machinery. Other contributions addressed camera-based assistance systems and autonomous visibility assistance systems. Digitalisation, AI applications and construction process simulations were also on the agenda. Participants discussed recent study findings and issues that will shape the industry in the future.

Joint projects bring research into practice

The exchange demonstrated how industry and academia can work together to advance new technologies. Manufacturers and users contribute their practical experience, while universities and research institutions add scientific methods and new technical approaches. Joint research projects help to align solutions with the industry's needs. In this way, research supports companies in developing their technologies further and remaining competitive.
